Man taken to hospital after hit by car in Clydebank

A man has been taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car in Clydebank.

The collision happened on Chalmers Street at around 11.45am on Saturday.

Police remain on the scene with the road still closed.

A police Scotland spokesperson has said: “We were called around 11.45am on Saturday, 15 April, to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Chalmers Street, Clydebank.

“Emergency services attended and a man, the pedestrian, has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandria Hospital.

“The road is currently closed.”
