Man jailed for rapes in Glasgow and Lanarkshire

Hamilton attacked the first victim on various occasions at the Rutherlgen property.
The charge states he repeatedly groped her in several areas and touched her inappropriately in a bath.
He also exposed himself and tried to perform a sex act on her.
Hamilton went on to rape the woman while she was asleep.
At a later date at a different Rutherglen address, he raped the same woman.
Hamilton pushed her on the body and restrained her before carrying out the sex attack.
Seven months later, Hamilton went on to sexually assault a second woman at properties in Glasgow's Govan.
Hamilton took hold of her had and put his arm around her before attempting to kiss her.
He went on to grope the woman under her clothing.
Hamilton then abducted the woman at Festival Park in Govan before going on to rape her.
The charge says he seized her by the body, shouted at her then covered her mouth.
Hamilton went on to pick her up and carried her to a bench and detained her against her will.
The beast then forced her to open her mouth before grabbing her by the hair.
Hamilton then raped the woman after pushing her on the body and removing her lower clothing.
Hamilton was convicted by a jury of the four charges was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow.
It was revealed that he had previous convictions for crimes including sexual assault.
Judge Olga Passportnikov put Hamilton on an order for life long restriction with Hamilton to serve at least three-and-a-half years behind bars.
The judge told him: "The crimes were against vulnerable women.
"The nature of the offending was clear based on the evidence that they gave.
"It was described as forceful rapes against vulnerable young women...you ignored pleas to stop.
"It must have been a terrifying experience.
"This would have had a psychological impact on both victims.
"You are likely to endanger the lives and wellbeing of the public at large."
Hamilton was put on the sex offenders register for an indefinite period.
