Man jailed for raping school girl 30 years ago in Glasgow

A sex beast who was convicted of raping a woman and having under-age sex with a 14-year-old schoolgirl almost 30 years ago was jailed for eight years. At the High Court in Glasgow judge Lady Rae told 65-year-old Stuart Cairns: “You have shown absolutely no remorse whatsoever for your appalling behaviour towards these two women.”

The offences were committed between November 1986 and December 1991 at addresses in Glasgow.

Cairns, from Cedar Street, Glasgow, was placed on the sex offenders' register.

He showed no emotion as he was led away.
