Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left a man with a fractured leg.

Police are hunting a hit-and-run driver who left a man with a fractured leg.

The 28-year-old victim was walking along Hillington Road, Glasgow, just after midnight on Saturday after a night out with friends.

He tried to cross the road near to Birkhall Avenue when he was struck by a dark Vauxhall Corsa that failed to stop.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is receiving treatment for a fractured leg.

The road was closed while police investigated the scene and officers are appealing for any witnesses.

Sergeant Joe McGuckien said: We are in the process of checking CCTV images from in an around the area in an effort to identify the car and driver.

I am appealing to anyone who may have been in that area around the time of the incident to contact and who may have seen this car or witnessed the incident to contact us as you may have information which could assist us in our investigation into this incident.
