Man in 'serious condition' in hospital after fight on Sauchiehall Street

A man is in hospital with a serious head injury after he was punched and knocked to the ground in the early hours of this morning.

The 18 year-old was on Sauchiehall Street around 3am when a fight broke out outside Bistro Fast Food.

His condition is described as serious but stable and officers are appealing for witnesses.

The suspect was last seen heading in the direction of Charing Cross and is described as white, around 17- 20 years, approx. 5ft 7, slim build with brown hair. He was wearing a blue zipper top with a white zip, red collar and red hood.

Detective Constable John Fagan at Stewart Street CID said:

“We are anxious to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Sauchiehall Street at around 3 am this morning, Friday 10 May 2019 and who either witnessed the incident or perhaps saw the suspect making off afterwards.”
