A man is in hospital after a shooting in Shettleston last night.
Police say the 38 year-old's in a serious but stable condition after shots were fired at around 11pm on Tuesday in Cuthleton Terrace.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11pm on Tuesday 18 September 2018, police were called to a report of a man injured following a shooting incident at a flat in Cuthelton Terrace, Glasgow.
"Police and ambulance attended and the 38 year-old man has been taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
"Officers are currently at the scene to establish more information and the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.
"Enquiries are at a very early stage and we have no further information for release at this time."
Detective Inspector Gillian Faulds said:
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing and specialist officers and forensics teams are currently at the scene. We will of course continue to carry out door-to-door enquiries and are reviewing CCTV footage for any information which could assist us.
“There is no clear motive for this attack as yet although we do believe the victim was the intended target. I would appeal to anyone who has any information regarding this incident to contact us.
"An incident such as this is bound to cause concern among local residents but I would like to assure them that there are additional patrols in the area and anyone with concerns can speak to these officers.”
