Man in hospital after being attacked outside Glasgow Central Station

He's been treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for a facial injury after the assault which happened just after 5pm on Thursday.

A man's been attacked outside Glasgow Central Station.

He's been treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for a facial injury after the assault which happened just after 5pm on Thursday.

Police say inquiries are ongoing.

"Officers were called to Union Street, outside Glasgow Central Station, at around 5.05pm Thursday, 16 January after a man was assaulted.

"The man has been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a facial injury.

"Inquiries are ongoing and officers remain at the scene."
