Man in court over murder of Glasgow woman 35 years ago
A man has appeared in court accused of the murder of mother-of-11 Mary McLaughlin 35 years ago.
Graham McGill, 58, is charged with killing Mary who was last seen alive on 26 September 1984.
Miss McLaughlin, from Partick, was seen leaving a bar in Glasgow's Hyndland area after a night out.
Her body was found at her home in Laurel Street six days later on October 2, 1984.
No one was arrested or charged at the time but the case was re-investigated by Police Scotland.
McGill appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court today and made no plea.
He was remanded in custody by Sheriff Joseph Platt for further examination.
McGill will appear in court again within the next eight days.
