Man in court charged with murder in Airdrie on Easter Sunday
38-year-old Gerard McGinlay was remanded in custody ahead of a further appearance
A man has appeared in court accused of a murder in Airdrie on Easter Sunday.
A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead after police were called to High Street in the town on Sunday afternoon.
Gerard McGinlay, 38, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court charged with his murder.
McGinlay, who court documents state is homeless, was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon.
He made no plea at the brief hearing and was remanded in custody pending a further court appearance.
