Man In Hospital After Being Hit By Car

A man's in hospital with a head injury after reportedly being hit by a taxi in Glasgow city centre on Sunday morning.

A pedestrian is in hospital with a serious head injury after reportedly being hit by a taxi in Glasgow city centre.

The 48-year-old man was walking on Clyde Street in the early hours of Sunday when the incident happened.

Police said they were called at around 12.45am to a with a report of a pedestrian having being struck by a black cab.

Emergency services went to the scene and the casualty was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to a serious head injury.

He has since been transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Sergeant Stuart Bell said: There will have been people heading home from nights out in the city centre around the time of this incident and I would appeal for any witnesses to get in touch.
