Man taken to hospital after being found lying on Cambuslang street

Officers are working to figure out why he was lying injured.

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was discovered lying injured on a Cambuslang street on Friday.

Officers were called to the scene at around 9.15pm.

The man was then taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man found injured on Western Road in Cambuslang around 9.15pm on Friday, 3 September.

“The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
