Man, 25, taken to hospital after being attacked with weapon in Renfrew
It happened near to the Kirklandneuk playing fields between 2am and 3am on Saturday
A man has been taken to hospital with a serious facial injury after being attacked with an "unknown weapon" in Renfrew.
The 25-year-old man was seriously assaulted near to the Kirklandneuk playing fields between 2am and 3am on Saturday.
He sustained a serious facial injury as a result and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The male suspect is described as being around 5ft 10in in height, of slim to medium build and spoke with a local accent.
He was wearing a blue puffer jacket with the hood up, dark grey or black jeans and black trainers.
Detective Constable James Campbell said: “This incident saw a man sustain a serious facial injury.
“I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch."

He added: “I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage to contact us.”
