Man in hospital after blade attack by masked men
The assault left the victim with a serious injury to his arm.
A man is in hospital after an attack by a masked duo in Rutherglen.
Emergency services raced to Springhall Court at around 9.30pm on Monday, where they found the 29-year-old victim with a serious injury to his arm.
He had been assaulted by two men in the stairwell with a bladed weapon, and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Police are now hunting the two suspects, and are appealing any witnesses to come forward.
They are described as both wearing dark clothing, with one wearing a balaclava and the other a scarf covering his face.
Detective Constable Derek Young, of Cambuslang CID, said: "I'm appealing to anyone who saw two men matching these descriptions or acting suspiciously around that area of Rutherglen to contact us."
