Man in hospital after attack in the Bridgeton area of Glasgow

Detectives need anyone who saw the attack to come forward.

Detectives are looking for information after a serious assault in the Bridgeton area of Glasgow yesterday.

A 16-year-old boy was attacked between 9pm and 10pm on Dalmarnock Road near to Muslin Street.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment for stab wounds and his condition is described as serious but stable.

Detective Constable Sarah Steven from Shettleston CID said: "Enquiries are at an early stage to establish exactly what happened and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or noticed anything suspicious, to contact us.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via telephone number 101, quoting incident number 3650 of 27th March 2022.

"Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
