A robber held up the same shop twice – claiming he needed cash to feed his child.

Taylor Wilson carried out the raid at Knockinlaw Stores in Kilmarnock

The tattooed thug left female staff terrified after demanding cash at knifepoint.

The 35 year-old was later snared and now faces jail having pled guilty to two assault and robbery charges.

Wilson – who was remanded in custody - will learn his fate next month.

He carried out the first crime on December 10 when he told a worker: “Open the till – I will not hurt you.”

Wilson soon fled with £115 in banknotes.

But, he targeted the shop again just months later on February 16 this year.

A different female assistant said she could not open the till- but Wilson yelled: “Give me the money or I will do you. Hurry up. I need to feed my child.”

The robber got his hands on £100 before racing off on a bike.

However, the worker recognised after he removed his balaclava.

Lord Matthews deferred sentencing for reports at the High Court in Glasgow.

The judge said: “It strikes me that I may be looking at an extended sentence.”

Wilson will return to the dock on August 3 in Aberdeen.
