Police launch attempted murder investigation after man hit by car in Glasgow
The vehicle caught alight after also hitting parked cars and railings on Christmas Eve
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a car in Glasgow in what they are treating as an attempted murder bid.
A 20-year-old man was hit by a car that also collided with parked vehicles and railings before catching fire on Langlands Road at around 3.15pm on Christmas Eve.
The victim is in a stable condition in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The occupants of the car made off and police are appealing to anyone who was nearby at the time to contact them.
Detective constable Mark Garner of Greater Glasgow CID said: “It’s vital we find out exactly what happened and I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident to come forward.
“Also, if anyone has relevant dash cam footage of Langlands Road around 3pm on Saturday, please contact us.”
