Man in serious condition in hospital after stabbing in Drumchapel

The 20-year-old was found injured in a bus stop early on Tuesday morning

A man’s been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was found stabbed in a Drumchapel street.

Police were called to Kinfauns Drive at around 5.50 on Tuesday morning, where the 20-year-old was lying injured in a bus stop.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he’s being treated for stab wounds and lacerations. Staff describe his condition as serious.

Detective Sergeant Scott Brockie of Drumchapel Police Station said: “We do not believe that the man was attacked within the bus stop, and we are carrying out enquiries in the local area to establish the exact circumstances and where it took place.

“Kinfauns Drive is a busy main thoroughfare, and I would ask anyone who was in this area this morning who witnessed any assault take place, or who has any information on the circumstances surrounding this incident to contact Drumchapel Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 0402 of 26th November.
