Man found with 'life-threatening' injuries in Johnstone
Police have launched an investigation to establish how the 65-year-old was hurt
A man has been left fighting for life in hospital after he was found injured in the close of a building in Johnstone.
Emergency services were called to High Street at around 10.30pm on Sunday. The 65-year-old was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with life-threatening injuries.
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward, as they try to work out how the man was hurt.
Detective Inspector Robert Bowie, of Paisley CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into the incident and how this man came to be injured.
“I would urge anyone who may have assisted the man or witnessed what happened to come forward.
“Anyone with information should call police via 101, quoting incident 3711 of 3 April, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
