Man found injured in Paisley street

A man has been treated in hospital after being found injured in Paisley early this morning.

The 28-year-old was discovered on Clarence Street around 1am.

Police say he had suffered a serious assault.

Detective Constable Dougie Macfarlane, from Paisley CID, said: “Thankfully, the man did not require any extensive treatment, but this is an incident that could quite easily have turned much more serious.

“I am appealing for anyone in the Clarence Street or Seedhill area of Paisley, who may have seen anything suspicious in the early hours of this morning, to please come forward.
