Man followed elderly woman into home, demanding cash
An elderly woman has been left shaken after a man followed her into her home, demanding money.
Police in Glasgow are hunting for a man after he followed the elderly woman into her Cathcart home on Friday.
The woman, in her 80s, was entering her home at 3.30pm when she noticed a man behind her.
The man ushered her into the property and demanded cash from her.
He then became aware of another person in the house and fled the scene.
The man was last seen on Struan Road, heading towards Kildary Road.
He was described as being white, around 45 years old, 5ft 6in, of medium build with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured jacked and had a Scottish accent.
Detective Constable Suzy Walker of Glasgow's Community Investigation Unit said: The woman was unhurt but, understandably, left badly shaken by this incident.
As part of our investigation, we're urging anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area to contact us. Likewise, anyone with information which could be relevant is urged to come forward.''
