Man fined for pulling woman by hair in Queen's Park
Martin Wilson grabbed her hair in a row over a parking space.
A Glasgow chef pulled a woman by the hair from her open car window amid a dispute over a parking space.
Martin Wilson, 46, attacked Mary Dickson outside his home in Queen's Park on April 23 2025.
Wilson was enraged after Miss Dickson tried to park in a space which he had earmarked for scaffolders doing work to his roof.
Wilson currently runs - Kitchen Street - a mobile catering company for film sets.
He was previously involved with his partner in 'Bustouraunt' which was a luxury restaurant tour bus.
First offender Wilson pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the assault to Miss Dickson.
The court heard that at 9am Miss Dickson was looking for a parking space before she started her work as a manager of a business on Victoria Road.
She saw a vacant space but was approached by Wilson on foot.
Prosecutor Redmond Harris said: "A discussion took place in relation to the space being saved for scaffolders working in the area.
"Thereafter, Wilson grabbed her by the hair with his hand and began pulling her head out the open window of her vehicle.
"He released his grip and walked away from the vehicle."
Miss Dickson, who was in "disbelief" contacted the police who later attended Wilson's home and arrested him.
He replied to caution and charge: "I grabbed her, it was a flashpoint, I then let her go and walked away."
Muray Macara, defending, told the court that that his client had moved his vehicle from the space for the scaffolders when Miss Dickson moved into it.
He claimed that Miss Dickson's vehicle had made contact with Mr Wilson's left thigh at around one or two miles per hour.
Mr Macara said: "He moved to the side of the vehicle and words were exchanged and he pulled her hair."
Sheriff Owen Mullan fined Wilson £450 and ordered him to pay Miss Dickson £750 in compensation.
The sheriff said: "I accept this incident arose out of a parking dispute you had with your victim.
"There was no justification reaching in and pulling her hair.
"I see you have offered no apology."
