Man faces trial accused of raping woman in Glasgow hotel
21 year old Kyle McLoney is accused of carrying out the sex attack at the city's Novotel Hotel in the city centre
A man to stand trial charged with repeatedly raping a woman in a hotel bedroom in Glasgow.
Kyle McLoney faced the allegation during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
The 21 year-old is accused of carrying out the sex attack at the city's Novotel Hotel - close to the then Pitt Street headquarters of Police Scotland.
The charge - said to have happened last February - includes claims he restricted the woman's breathing and pushed her head into a pillow.
It is further alleged McLoney, of the city's Summerston, repeatedly ignored her when she told him to stop.
McLoney is also said to have put his hand over her mouth to stop the woman screaming.
He faces separate charges of assault and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Derek Ogg QC, defending, pled not guilty on his behalf.
Judge Lord Burns set a trial due to begin in July in Glasgow.
