Man faces charged over Govan street death
A man has been charged with murder after the death of a man found injured in a Glasgow street.
A man has been charged with murder after the death of a man found injured in a Glasgow street.
Emergency services were called to Elizabeth Street in Govan at about 12.20am on Tuesday and found the man, who is yet to be identified.
Paramedics attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gavin Riley, 27, from Glasgow, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at the city's sheriff court charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
The case was committed for further examination and he was remanded in custody ahead of a further expected appearance next week, the Crown Office confirmed.
