Man due in court in connection with Greenock pensioner death
78-year-old John Sharp was found dead at a flat in the town on the 9th of January
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 78-year-old man in Inverclyde.
It follows an early morning incident on January 9 where police were called to a flat in Ann Street, Greenock at 12.20am.
Police have named the 78-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, as John Sharp Snr.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested and is in police custody in connection with the death.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal
