Death of man found in Possilpark close 'suspicious'

A man has died after being found injured in the common close of a block of flats on Saracen Street in Possilpark.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5pm.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and the road is currently closed in both directions.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 5pm police received reports of a man with serious injuries in a common close in Saracen Street in Glasgow.

“The man died at the scene.

“A post mortem will be carried out in due course. The death is being treated as suspicious.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
