Man dies in motorbike crash in Glasgow

The 27-year-old was involved in a crash with a white van on Monday

A 27-year-old man has died in a road accident in Glasgow.

He was riding his white Honda motorbike on Kings Park Avenue at around 10.55 on Monday morning, when it collided with a white Volkswagen van.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Volkswagen van was uninjured. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Jon Mochan, from Glasgow's Road Policing Unit, said: "I am appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact us, as they may have information that will assist our investigation.

"I am also keen to hear from any drivers who were on the road at the time who have dash-cam footage, which could also assist our ongoing enquiries into this crash.”
