Man dies after house fire in Airdrie
A man has died following a house fire in North Lanarkshire.
A man has died following a house fire in North Lanarkshire.
Crews were called to North Biggar Road in Airdrie on Sunday morning.
They rescued the occupier who was taken to Monklands General Hospital following the blaze at around 10.40am.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the man did not survive.
Officers are working to establish the cause of the fire, which is not thought to be suspicious.
