Man dies following collision in Glasgow

A 43-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision in Glasgow.

At around 2.20pm on Saturday 20 April 2019 the man was in his black Honda Jazz vehicle driving along Edinburgh Road, near to Wellhouse Road when the car veered onto the central reservation and then collided with a tree.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.

The road was closed for a short time whilst enquiries were carried out.

Sergeant Nicola Taylor, Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said:

"We are appealing for anyone who was driving on Edinburgh Road yesterday, who may have seen the black Honda Jazz prior to the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage to get in touch with us."
