Man dies after collapsing at Glasgow nightclub

The 30-year-old was rushed to hospital but died a short time later

A man has died after collapsing at a Glasgow nightclub.

Emergency services rushed to Mango on Sauchihall Street shortly after 1am on Saturday, after the 30-year-old man fell unconscious.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, but died a short time later.

Police Scotland have released the following statement:

“Around 0105 hours on Saturday 23 December 2017, police were called to a report that a man had taken ill within a nightclub in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

“The 30 year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
