Man dies after falling from scaffolding in Glasgow
Tragedy happened on Sauchiehall Street just before 6 last night
A 23-year-old man has died after falling from scaffolding in Glasgow city centre last night.
Police raced to Sauchiehall Street around 5.50pm after the alarm was raised.
Paramedics were also in attendance, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service vehicles were seen on the street near to the Beresford Lounge complex, with scaffolding sealing the section off at the junction to Garnet Street.
Officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
A Police spokesman said: "Emergency services attended and a 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
