A motorist whose car crashed in Paisley after he took ill at the wheel has died in hospital.
A motorist whose car crashed in Paisley after he took ill at the wheel has died in hospital.
John Boland, 60, was driving on Seedhill Road at around 4.40pm on Wednesday when he became unwell. His black Honda CRV then collided with a fence.
Mr Boland, of Cardonald, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was in a critical condition.
He died at the hospital yesterday, police have confirmed.
Officers said his relatives have been told and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Police would like any witnesses to the crash, or the events just before it, to get in touch with them on the non-emergency number 101.
