A man's died in hospital after a disturbance in Paisley.

A woman and two men have been arrested in connection with the death of the 60 year old, who was rushed to hospital from a property in Broomlands Street in Paisley on Monday.

A 60-year-old man has died after being found injured following an incident at a property in Paisley.

Emergency services went to the Renfrewshire town's Broomlands Street just after 2.30pm on Monday following a reported disturbance at an address.

William Brittle, from the area, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, where he died the next day.

Police Scotland said three people have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault.

The three - two men aged 26 and 45 and a 41-year-old woman - are being held in police custody and were due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court.

Officers said a post-mortem examination will take place later to find out how Mr Brittle died and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
