A man has been found dead near to Glasgow Central Station.

Police officers received reports of two men lying injured on waste ground off Jamaica Street, near to the station, at around 10.45pm on Saturday.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers and other emergency services attended and a 40-year-old man was declared dead.

The other man is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.

BTP said the incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
