Man pronounced dead at the scene of Trongate flat fire

One man has died following a flat fire in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Parnie Street in the Trongate area at around 1.40am on Friday.
Police said the man was brought out of the building and was treated by ambulance staff but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations are under way to establish the cause of the fire.
In a separate incident, two people were taken to hospital after a fire in a multi-storey block of flats.
Fire crews were called to the scene in Kirkton Avenue in the Knightswood area of Glasgow just before 5am on Friday.
They extinguished the blaze in a property on the 22nd floor of the building.
Three people were passed into the care of the ambulance service and two of them were taken to hospital.
