A man has been critically injured after being hit by a van in Glasgow.
The 44-year-old was struck by the Mercedes Sprinter as he crossed Springburn Road at about 5.30pm on Sunday.
He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where his condition is described as critical but stable.
The 77-year-old van driver was uninjured.
Sergeant Nicola Taylor said: "It would appear that the man was attempting to cross the carriageway when he was struck by the van which stopped immediately at the scene.
"We have already spoken to people who stopped to assist the man but are still looking for further witnesses who were in the area at the time to contact police with any information about the incident.''
