A man has been cleared of trying to kill a six-month old boy on a Scots island.
Stuart Laurie was said to have attacked the child at a house in Rothesay on Bute on May 7 2020.
Prosecutors had claimed the 41 year-old shook the boy or otherwise inflicted trauma to his head and body by means unknown.
An attempted murder charge stated this was to the child's severe injury, permanent impairment and to the danger of his life.
Laurie had denied the claims and jurors returned a not proven verdict following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
Lord Fairley then told him: "By verdict of the jury, you are acquitted.
"You are discharged from the dock and free to leave."
Laurie, also of Rothesay, was hugged by emotional relatives as he left the courtroom.
