Man charged after toddler falls from flat in Rutherglen

A 29-year-old man has been charged after a toddler fell from the window of a flat in Rutherglen.
The two-year-old boy was taken to hospital after the incident on Kirkwood Street last Tuesday afternoon.
He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment and is believed to have suffered a broken jaw, wrist and swelling to the brain.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident."
She said a report has been made to the procurator fiscal.
The man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court next month.
