Man charged over Lanarkshire security guard's death

Dad of four Mohammed Abu Sammour was found seriously injured on Sunday October 28 at a new housing estate near Newarthill.

A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a security guard in North Lanarkshire.

Mohammed Abu Sammour, 49, was discovered critically injured at around 1am on Sunday October 28 at a new housing estate near Newarthill.

Emergency services attended and the dad of four from Airdrie was taken to Wishaw General Hospital, where he died a short time later.

A murder investigation was launched and a 21-year-old man is due to appear at Hamilton Sherrif Court on Monday.
