Man, 45, charged with attempted murder after serious assault in Johnstone

A man arrested following a serious assault in Johnstone has now been charged with attempted murder.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 24 February, 2025.
Around 6.45pm, on Friday 21 February, 2025, police received a report a 42-year-old man had been injured in William Street, Johnstone. Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital.
A police spokesperson said: "A 45-year-old man arrested by officers investigating a serious assault in Johnstone has now been charged in connection with attempted murder. "
