Man charged in connection with attempted murder in Johnstone
A 16-year-old male was stabbed around 12.20pm on Wednesday
An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Johnstone.
A male youth was assaulted and stabbed around 12.20pm on Wednesday, 13 September, 2023, near Thorn Court.
The 16-year-old was taken to hospital where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
The accused is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on today, Friday 15th September, and officers continue to appeal for information on another male.

He is described as slim, in his mid to late teens, with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured track suit top and bottoms the hood up or a baseball cap on.
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in and around the area at the time of the incident and thinks they may have information which could assist our enquiries to get in touch. If you have any recording equipment, such as, doorbell or dash cams, please check the footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
Officers remain in the area to provide reassurance to residents. Anyone with concerns can approach these officers.
