Man charged with attempted murder after an incident in Lanark
Two men aged 37 and 60 were seriously injured - one has died later in hospital
A 36-year old man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident on Sunday night in Lanark - where a man later died. Two men, aged 37 and 60 were seriously injured outside a house on Ayr road at around 7pm.
They were taken to hospital, where one of the men later died.
He's been named as 37-year old William Gladstone, also known as Billy.
Enquiries into his death are on-going.
Officers have now charged a 36-year-old with attempted murder over the attack on the 60-year old man.
He is due to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
