A man has been charged after police officers were allegedly assaulted at a park.

Police were called to the scene in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow at 12.15pm on Friday following reports a member of the public had been threatened.

Four police vans and several police cars were at the scene at lunchtime on April 3.

Police said a 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A police spokesperson said:

"43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest following a report that man threatened a member of the public at Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow around 12.15pm on Friday, 2 April, 2020. No officers were injured and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
