Man Caught With Pistol at Glasgow Hotel

A man caught with a pistol at a Glasgow hotel is behind bars.

George Sim was snared in January this year after dumping the gun in bushes at the Springfield Quay complex.

The 25 year-old had earlier left the nearby Ibis Hotel after meeting up with his ex-girlfriend.

Sim, of the city's Possilpark, was tailed after staff were suspicious he was armed.

Sim pled guilty to possessing the gun and two charges under the Firearms Act when he appeared at the High Court in Glasgow.

Judge Lady Rae deferred sentencing until next month for reports.
