Man's body pulled from Loch Lomond

A major search and rescue operation was mounted just before 2.00pm near Luss

A man’s died after getting into difficulty while swimming in Loch Lomond.

Around 1.50pm today, Wednesday 12 July 2017, police received a report of that a 20 year old man had got into difficulty whilst swimming - approximately 3 miles north of Luss near Culag.

Emergency services attended and following a rescue operation the man's body was recovered at 3.45pm.

The man’s death isn’t being treated as suspicious – emergency services have now been stood down
