Man attacked on public footpath in Hamilton
The 29-year-old man was assaulted by three men at the junction of Strathaven Road and Mill Road.
A man was taken to hospital with face, back and arm injuries after being attacked on a footpath in South Lanarkshire.
The 29-year-old was walking between the junction of Strathaven Road and Mill Road in Hamilton between 9.45pm and 10pm on Friday when he was assaulted by three men.
He was taken to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride for treatment.
There are no descriptions of the suspects but police are appealing for witnesses and information about the incident.
Detective Constable Jennifer Thirtle said: ''While we don't have descriptions of the suspects, we know that the area was busy with vehicles and are appealing for anyone with information or potential dash-cam footage to come forward.
We are currently making door-to-door inquiries and would also ask for members of the community who may have seen people acting suspiciously in the area before or after the incident to please contact police.''
