There's an appeal for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Coatbridge earlier this week.
The 45-year-old was walking on Beechwood Drive around 9.10pm on Wednesday 29 September when he was attacked by three men believed to be in possession of weapons.
He was taken to University Hospital, Monklands, where he received treatment for a serious head injury.
Detective Constable Paul James from Coatbridge Police Station said: “We believe this was a targeted attack and there is no risk to the wider public.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or may have dash cam footage to get in touch via 101 quoting incident reference number 3504 of 29 September 21.”
