A man is recovering in hospital in Paisley after being attacked outside a pub in the town.

A man is recovering in hospital in Paisley after being attacked outside a pub in the town.

The 45 year-old was stabbed during the serious assault on Causeyside Street near the Wellington Bar around 5 o'clock last night.

The three suspects are described as white, 6”4, 30 years, heavy muscular build wearing a white t-shirt and a grey tracksuit; white, 6”4, 30 years, skinny build with short dark hair and white, heavy build with short hair- greying at the top.

Detective Sergeant Nathan Calderwood at Paisley CID said:

“We are currently viewing CCTV and speaking to local people in the area to help establish what exactly occurred yesterday afternoon.

“Causeyside Street would have been busy at this time with both pedestrians and car users and I urge anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that could assist our enquiries to contact CID at Paisley immediately quoting incident number 2475 of 17 August.”
