Man attacked by armed gang in Anniesland

The 22 year old was beaten by group of men after being run off the road

A man's been run off the road and then attacked by a gang during the middle of the evening rush hour in Glasgow.

Police say what happened in Anniesland on Tuesday looks like it was targeted.

After crashing into the 22 year old's Renault Scenic group of men jumped out of a black car and set about the 22 year old who was in a silver Renault Scenic on Fulton Street around 1730.

The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Detective Constable Jennifer Adams from Drumchapel CID said: “From our enquiries so far it appears that this was a targeted attack.

“This type of violent and reckless behaviour will not be tolerated and it is vital that anyone who may be able to assist our investigation comes forward.

“If you were in the area on Tuesday evening and witnessed the incident, or noticed either vehicle on the road, please get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Drumchapel CID via 101, quoting incident number 2669 of Tuesday 23 January 2018. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”

He's since been released from hospital
