Man assaulted by pair in 'targetted attack'
The 30-year-old victim was walking in Larkhall when he was ambushed at around 10.40pm on Thursday.

He was taken to Wishaw Hospital for treatment to his injuries and has since been discharged.
The suspects, who got out of a silver car, are both described as being white, aged 30-40, with average height and build.
Officers are appealing for information about the assault, which happened by the footpath at Glengonnar, near the junction with Robert Smillie Crescent.
Detective Sergeant Ronnie Douglas said: ''Although the motive for the attack is unknown, we do believe the man was targeted.
I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen or noticed anything suspicious - perhaps you saw the two men get out the car, or perhaps you noticed the car speed off after the incident.''
