A man is recovering in hospital after he was seriously assaulted on Saturday afternoon in the east end of Glasgow. The 38-year old was attacked in Dunragit Street at 2:15pm by a man he left a house there with.

The suspect them made off and the vicitm was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where is currently being treated.

Detective Constable John Boyd, Shettleston Police Office, said: “We are still trying to get a description of the person responsible and find out exactly what happened leading up to the attack.

“Officers have been making door to door enquiries, but would like to appeal to anyone who was within the area who has not spoken to police to come forward.

“The disturbance started and then moved out into the street and therefore somebody must have seen or heard something. Think back, where were you on Saturday afternoon?

“We would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area with dash-cam footage to get in touch with us. You may have information that can help us.”
